Bespoke Home Office London

Fitted desks, shelving, and storage designed for how you actually work.

Working from home demands more than a laptop on the kitchen table. A bespoke home office gives you a dedicated workspace that fits your room, your workflow, and your home’s character — not the other way around. We design and build fitted home office furniture in our London workshop and install it ourselves.

Every Centimetre Made Useful

Every Centimetre Made Useful

Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloped ceilings, bay windows — we design around the architecture of your room rather than ignoring it. A built-in home office uses space that off-the-shelf furniture cannot. The result feels like part of the house, not furniture standing in front of it.

Cable Management Built In From Day One

Cable Management Built In From Day One

Routed desk channels, concealed trunking, integrated power sockets, USB charging, and dedicated cable routes for monitors and peripherals. No tangle of cables behind the screen, no extension lead on the floor — just a clean workspace that stays clean.

Built to the Same Standard as Our Kitchens

Built to the Same Standard as Our Kitchens

Premium carcass materials, high-quality soft-close hardware, workshop-sprayed finishes. The same joinery techniques and the same materials we use for our most expensive kitchens — applied to home offices that get daily use for decades.

Why Choose a Fitted Home Office?

Off-the-shelf desks and flat-pack shelving leave gaps, waste space, and look temporary. A built-in home office is designed to the exact dimensions of your room — maximising storage, eliminating clutter, and creating a workspace that belongs in your home rather than sitting awkwardly in it.

Every Centimetre Used

Alcoves, chimney breasts, sloped ceilings, bay windows — we design around the architecture of your room rather than ignoring it. A custom home office uses space that off-the-shelf furniture can’t.

Integrated Cable Management

Routed desk channels, concealed trunking, built-in power sockets, and USB ports. Cables disappear. Your desk stays clear. No cable trays bolted on as an afterthought.

Storage That Scales

Filing drawers, printer cabinets, book shelving, display niches — everything is planned during the design phase. Home office storage is built in from the start, not added later.

Built to Last

Premium carcass materials, high-quality soft-close hardware, and workshop spray finishes. Our bespoke office furniture is built to the same standard as our kitchens and wardrobes — furniture that lasts decades, not years.

Home Office Design Configurations

Every home office design starts with how you work and what the room offers. Here are the configurations we build most often.

Alcove Desk & Shelving

A bespoke desk fitted between chimney breast alcoves with floor-to-ceiling shelving above. The most popular configuration for London period homes — the desk becomes part of the room’s architecture rather than sitting in front of it.

Best for: Victorian and Edwardian living rooms, bedrooms with alcoves, small studies.

Full-Wall Home Office

A continuous run of fitted office furniture spanning an entire wall — desk section, overhead cupboards, open shelving, and closed storage integrated into a single cohesive design. The effect is architectural, turning a spare room into a proper study.

Best for: Dedicated home offices, spare bedrooms converted to studies.

Home Library with Desk

Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves with a built-in desk section — a home library that doubles as a working office. Adjustable shelving accommodates books of all sizes, with closed cabinets below for files and equipment. Library ladders available for taller installations.

Best for: Larger studies, combined library/office rooms, period properties.

Dual-Person Home Office

Two separate desk zones within a shared room — each with its own storage, lighting, and cable management. Configurations include back-to-back desks, L-shaped corner desks, or facing desks separated by a central shelving unit.

Best for: Couples working from home, parent/child study spaces.

Compact & Hidden Home Office

A fold-away or concealed office built into an alcove, cupboard, or under-stair space. Doors close to hide the workspace entirely — ideal when the office shares a living room or bedroom. Full functionality behind a clean, furniture-like exterior.

Best for: Open-plan living, bedrooms, hallways, under-stair spaces.

Standing Desk Integration

A sit-stand mechanism built into bespoke cabinetry — the desk surface adjusts while surrounding shelving, cabinets, and cable management remain fixed. Electric height adjustment concealed within the furniture design.

Best for: Health-conscious home workers, creative professionals, anyone switching between sitting and standing.

Materials & Construction

We build home study furniture to the same standard as our kitchens and wardrobes. No shortcuts, no compromise.

Quality Carcasses

Every unit is built on a strong, stable carcass from premium materials specified for your project. Where a natural look is wanted, exposed timber or ply edges can be left visible as a design feature or lipped with solid hardwood.

Desktop Worktops

Solid oak, solid walnut, Forbo linoleum (warm and quiet under the hand), or lacquered plywood. Desktop edges are shaped to your preference — bullnose, chamfered, or square.

Door & Panel Finishes

Spray-painted MDF in any colour (Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, RAL), solid timber, or veneered panels. Cabinet doors available as Shaker, flat slab, or push-to-open handleless.

Soft-Close Hardware

Every hinge, drawer runner, and pull-out mechanism uses high-quality soft-close components chosen for reliability. Manufacturer warranty on all hardware.

How It Works

01

Free Home Consultation

We visit your home, measure the room, discuss how you work, and explore design options. We’ll look at natural light, power socket locations, monitor placement, and the room’s architectural features. No obligation.

02

Design & Quote

Detailed drawings showing desk layout, shelving configurations, storage, cable routes, and material specifications. An itemised quote with no hidden costs. Revisions until the design is exactly right.

03

Workshop Build

Your home office furniture is CNC-cut, hand-assembled, and spray-finished in our London workshop. Cable management components, power modules, and LED lighting are pre-fitted where possible.

04

Installation

Pre-finished units arrive and are installed by our own team. Shaping the panels to fit your walls exactly, levelling, cable routing, and electrical connections are completed on site. Most home office installations complete in 1–2 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a bespoke home office cost in London?

A bespoke home office in London costs between £3,000 and £25,000+ depending on the scope. An alcove desk with shelving starts around £3,000–£5,000 in painted MDF; a full room fit-out with hardwood finishes and integrated lighting can reach £15,000–£25,000. We provide itemised quotes after a free consultation.

How long does it take to design and install a fitted home office?

From design sign-off to completed installation, expect 4–10 weeks. Design takes 1–2 weeks, manufacture 2–6 weeks, and installation 1–2 days. We recommend starting 2–3 months before your target completion date, especially during busy periods.

Can you build a home office into an alcove or awkward space?

Alcoves, under-stair spaces, bay windows, and sloped ceilings are all ideal for built-in home offices. We shape every panel to fit the irregular walls typical of London’s period properties. A well-designed alcove office uses space that would otherwise be wasted.

What materials do you use for bespoke home offices?

Carcasses are built from premium, made-to-last materials specified for your project. Visible surfaces can be spray-painted MDF (any colour), solid oak, walnut, or veneered panels. Desktop worktops are available in solid hardwood, linoleum, or lacquered plywood.

Do you handle cable management for home offices?

Every project includes integrated cable management as standard. This means routed channels in the desktop, concealed trunking behind panels, built-in power sockets, USB charging ports, and designated routes for monitor cables, ethernet, and peripherals. No visible cables.

Can a home office double as a guest bedroom?

Yes. We design multi-function rooms regularly. Options include a pull-down wall bed integrated into the office cabinetry, a daybed with storage beneath, or a desk that folds away behind cabinet doors. The office disappears when guests arrive.
